merge worlds these worlds have been part of the merge for decades because of this, information has flowed heavily to them and all advancements made at the hub have moved to these worlds new worlds these are systems that were discovered recently they could be behind the hub in some technical aspects, and more advanced (slightly) in others outworlds once a planet has passed through the merge's first contact protocol, the location is unlocked, and jumpers are free to use the creator transpods on the discovery lander traveling to these outposts is a "go at your own risk" proposition unless there is a sentient species on the planet, or there are specific areas of interest (e g the remains of an advanced civilization), the merge will not set up any infrastructure, so jumpers are on their own primitive worlds these are worlds that are various levels of technology behind the core worlds, all the way back to single cell organisms or prehistoric hominids future worlds these are locations that are technologically ahead of the hub
