Fervas

With more than 75% of its surface covered in flowing lava, Fervas appears to be a dead world. But look closer and you will see small bastions of the Fervan race huddled in chiseled caves amidst the highest mountain peaks. A mighty fall for a once-proud race.

The Fervan are hulking, bestial warriors known for their superior dronecraft. Having conquered several nearby worlds, the Fervan’s downfall ironically came when their race became divided over how to divvy up the spoils of war. Incapable of compromise, the Fervan began fierce infighting and, within a matter of days, reduced their entire planet to a battle-scarred wasteland with their deadly nutrite bombs. 

With thousands of fissures opened on the surface, the planet’s molten interior flowed freely. Forcing the humbled Fervan who survived the war to take refuge on the mountaintops. Now they use their dronecraft to search the fissures of their world, searching for pockets of survivors in their sunken cities, hoping to rebuild their race and start over.
