Discovery Lander Notification System (NEW)
Discovery Landers use a progressive notification system to alert the Hub that a new system/planet is coming online:
1) When it arrives, it sends a “Network Relay Established” message.
2) When a sentient species interacts with the Lander, it sends out another message: “Sentient Lifeform Engaged.”
3) Finally, when the species has shown no hostility to the Lander or Servitors through continued engagement, a final message is sent that can trigger a Harbinger team: “Sentient Lifeform Validated: Network Relay Viable.”
IMPORTANT: The first trip from a Discovery Lander on a new world HAS to be to the Hub. At that point, other destination worlds are unlocked.
In the event that Servitors determine there is no sentient life on the planet, the second message would be, “Habitable Planet Validated: Network Relay Viable." But only if the planet satisfies two criteria:
1) The planet has resources that could benefit or even save multiple other races, or;
