Every Lander is powered by a medium-sized Proten, possesses the ability to grow more Protens, and equipped with a suite of Servitors to maintain, and protect when necessary, the receiving station.

When someone jumps to a Discovery Lander, the fabrication of a skin consumes a significant amount of energy from the Proten powering the Creator transpod system.
